East Side Frames has been producing beautiful custom and stock frames for over 25 years. We feature molding & frames that are crafted with a primitive style and appearance in mind. Each frame is carefully hand-make each frame, ensuring the highest level of detail and quality. Natural flaws, grain changes, and imperfections make each frame unique and beautiful. Our full line of 18 unique collections come in dozens of colors, ensuring that you’ll find the perfect match for your work of art. In addition, our unique line of tobacco lath frames and crafts provide an expanded offering to enhance your product lines and home decor. We offer the ultimate in flexibility and customization to meet your framing needs. How did East Side Frames start?

Located in the Amish community in Honey Brook, Pennsylvania (near Lancaster county), my business started as a hobby in 2012. With a background in construction and woodcraft, I became interested in working with tobacco lath because of the originality and rawness of the wood. I enjoy the simple process of “using what you have” and showcasing the natural history of the material. I started with the common star design, and soon my customers helped shape the product line by providing input and requests for new pieces. In fact, the framed prints came directly from a customer request. I attempt to make each design unique and try to add a couple of new items each year. The lath currently used on our frames and crafts is the wood used to dry tobacco. I obtain it from local farm dispersal auctions. The tobacco lath is dark, natural wood used to dry tobacco naturally weathered from years of use. This ensures that every piece has its own unique character, unlike any other. The material we use is hard to find, which makes your decor even more valuable. In 2013, I started promoting the crafts and decor to the local showcase in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. In 2018, I acquired and re-opened East Side Frames, a long-standing business much loved by stitchwork designers, retails and wholesalers alike. I hope you enjoy these products! No, East Side Frame offers a lot more than just frames. We also make handcrafted wood furniture such as rustic tables, bookshelves, and end tables. If you are looking for a high-quality hand-crafted piece of wood furniture be sure to browse the furniture section of our store. All of our furniture uses reclaimed oak and rustic pine. If you can’t find what your looking for in our shop, contact us, we also create custom wood furniture pieces.
